Certified closure, assessed one pull at a time, by the Bureau of Closure Integrity.
The Zipper Closure Index measures exactly one thing: whether you can drag a single zipper pull from fully open to fully closed. Every attempt is timed, scored, and certified by the Bureau of Closure Integrity.
A completed closure files a Closure Certificate with a Security Rating, a running count of Teeth Engaged, and a Self-Unzip Risk assessment, added to the record below for as long as this tab stays open.
Every zipper on this site includes a mandatory mid-travel Resistance Checkpoint, positioned near full closure, designed to verify operator commitment. Passing it requires a brief, deliberate wiggle of the pull. The Bureau considers this a feature of the hardware, not a limitation of the testing environment.
Security Rating is fixed. Teeth Engaged increments once per five percent of forward travel and never decreases, regardless of what the zipper does afterward. Self-Unzip Risk is drawn from a short list of phrases the Bureau has not attempted to justify.
No external measuring equipment, lint, or actual zippers were involved in the production of this certificate.
Closure is certified at the exact moment it is achieved. What the zipper does immediately afterward is a separate matter, and one the Bureau has chosen not to be responsible for.
The Zipper Closure Index is provided for entertainment purposes only. Closure Certificates carry no legal, structural, or garment-related authority of any kind.
